The kindergarten may have been quieter this week, with some children off for Easter, but that didn’t affect the noise and laughter from the children who were here!
The children chose to get more acquainted with some of their smaller Woodland friends and took part in hunting for anything that lives beneath the logs in our camps. Some children were aiming higher than others. The gruffalo was mentioned at one point along with dinosaurs. Thankfully when the logs were moved away the children had to settle for beetles and slugs.
After the children discovered that bugs that were living under the logs they decided to make them somewhere to live. They decided to build a bug hotel and off they went collecting sticks, branches, leaves and, of course, nothing is complete at WOK without mud! After the hotel was complete the children carefully placed the bugs in their new home and everybody lived happily ever after!
The children also had some time to take part in some arts and crafts before and after the woods with some very cute little bunnies being created……
