What happens in the woods when it is raining? Do the children still venture out? Do they like being outdoors in wet weather? …. Of course! Rainy days are fun days!
This week was particularly wet at times, but it failed to dampen the children’s spirits. There was a lot of fun, games and of course splashing in puddles this week. The children chose to take out lots of resources such as pots, pans, pegs, tins and string, and used these to maximum effect. From cooking up some Woodland delights, to using pots and pans to transport water to different areas of the camp, the children showed again that you do not need to be immersed in technology to have fun and learn.
This week the children also showed a great deal of resilience in some testing conditions. They showed that they are becoming responsible citizens by choosing the appropriate clothes and equipment for the weather that we had. They were able to decide when we all needed to go for a big adventure to warm up!
