With the weeks flying by, and as we get closer to another Scottish winter, the children are starting to notice a difference out in the woods. From the conkers falling off the trees, to the leaves changing colours, there is always something interesting happening that can shape a child’s day and bring a new dynamic to a camp or an adventure.
This week the children have been collecting conkers and adding them to their specialist mud pie recipes. They certainly won’t run out of mud anytime soon.! They have also been taking some adventures through the trees and looking and chatting about the different colours of leaves they can find. We are sure a few parents have received them as a gift. The pond has proved to be a popular choice also, as the children go to see how many ducks they can spot. As always the children are in charge of their own destination when out for a walk, and they use the directional signs and information boards to help them on their way.
